Part 1
Zak Krevitt’s portrait-series introduces a queer codified lexicon that explores his relationships with Men and Men’s relationships with each other. Through specific posturing, environments, and participants, queered worlds emerge that denote the frenetic, revolving power dynamics of the Homo-Social. Roles of domination and submission play out in varying, inverting degrees between photographer and subject; and in turn, between subject and subject. The portraits are of specific men in his life but contain within them corresponding platonic forms and explore masculine ethoi as they relate to photographer, viewer, and each other. Krevitt has had previous international exhibitions in Paris, Germany, Milan &Finland, as well as being featured in multiple publications including Dazed and Confused, Vice, Out &Butt. Krevitt would like to thank the SVA Photo department for their support of his series.
Pursuit of Happiness Part One will be on view from June 5th through June 16th.

Part 2
Riley Kalbus’ portrait-series seeks to address the many issues within the young faces of corporate, while simultaneously posing even more questions. The newest faces of the corporate world in New York City are a fresh generation of intelligent, ambitious and well-paid Millennials. In the hopes of a successful future, these young professionals in return compromise themselves with intensive hours in pursuit of a lucrative and powerful future, giving up the traditional trial and error discoveries of the typical twenty-somethings. Kalbus documents individuals and their correlation of age and hours put into the industry weekly, bringing forth the relevant question; should youth be sacrificed for money? Kalbus currently attends Parsons School of Design as a photo major and has been featured in PDN Magazine and ISAORA online blog along with selected works previously exhibited at Sundaram Tagore Gallery, Proteus Gowanus, and Gallery 3.
Pursuit of Happiness Part Two will be on view from June 17th through June 25th.
